I was apart of the extreme gymnastic performance this year. I would love to come next year but due to school will be unable to as it is during school times. I am in sixth form and need to go to each lesson.
I break from school between august 1st - september 5th and october 22nd - october 26th.
Less people will attend next year. The smaller the crowd the smaller the hype the less action and less profit.
Please change the date. Whiteair fan since 2004, Carl Wade.

Whilst i knbow you make no profit with white air i think that you should try and find another suitable venue on the east coast of the island rather than the proposed movement to the mainland. i am also aware that the conditions at sandown are crucial for many of the sports for whiteair such as freestyle frisbbe and windsurfing. I also think that a loss of sponorship may be enqured as an effect of the date changes, i'm concerned about the sponsorship because it enable many more things to go ahead such as the platform one live stage which i thought was a welcome change but obviously not according to the brainless politicians for the island.
The island is continuosly complaining about the lack of facilities for youths and changing or removing white air will mean more time will be spent out with nothing to do. white air also offers the chance for young people such as myself to become engadged in sports with sports that we would otherwise of not discovered.
I can see where the locals and the council come from with the aspect of disruption to the local town as i saw evidence of this cycling back from the bee's concert. on the other hand people had atleast 4 months notice to question and confont you over issues that could have been avoideed.
if only the islands people could see how important white air is.

Sorry guys, does anyone know the precise reason for the change, I'm finding nothing on this site or anything else on the internet, I totally agree with John Burns on this,
I come from the other end on this, I bought my kids over and a couple of other familys, we all had great time, camping on the island, great weather etc, but we certainly wont be able to come on these dates, and I'm sure the attendance will be way down, which will deter future sponsors and probably the event will just die out, but hey maybe thats what the council want, if the organisers are reading these comments, you have to something about this.
why
Dirt jump masacre, Saturday, 01 December 2007
cheers kev fr agreeing with me, the simple fact for the council changing the dates is that they felt revenue was lost from the car park and also many complaints were made during the festival, i think that the council are being snobbish over this, infact i know they are.
I would like to see a sandown town council meeting with representatives from the sports at white air a nigel debating over this issue, also within the youth council many of the candidates are using 'getting back' white air as a vote puller and i can guarantee that the candidates will fight their hardest to get white air back
any queiries i can be contacted on commandojohn@hotmail.co.uk John Burns Winddisc international
Dates...

Having been present throughout White Air in 2007 it is disappointing to see next year's dates are so late. The 'youth factor' is key to White Air's success and exluding this age range is ridiculous. With these dates next year's festival won't be worth attending on a commercial level, and having spent a great deal of time in the water teaching people (many younger than 18) how to Aquaskip this summer the practicalities of organising a 'have a go' activity without the people there to have a go seems pointless. White Air is a superb festival, and if anything it should be earlier in the summer, not later.
too long

i think if it is to be brought back it should be atleast in its origanal time slot but run for week not 5 days
Complain to the Council
Nigel Howell, Tuesday, 15 January 2008
Hi All It is out of the organisers hands The Council made the decision and will not let White Air run again in the summer even though it was the best festival so far. I agree with your comments and would also like to see it in the summer again. Start complaining to them and maybe we will get it back again one day.
