19-21 Sept 2008 12th Annual White Air Extreme Sports Festival

The event site itself is a natural arena, being both superb for the various disciplines on and off the water, the competitors and spectators, and general all round infrastructure. Over the years White Air has progressed into a multi-sport event. With its routes firmly in the watersport competitions the events have expanded to the exciting land based disciplines and it now attracts 35,000 spectators over 5 days plus live music evenings and the White Air party night.

Windsurfing Racing, Freestyle Windsurfing, Kitesurfing, Stand Up Surfing, Thundercats, Surf Kayak Racing and Jet Ski Freestyle, make up the extreme sports on the water, with more added every year. 2008 will see the addition of more sailing races including Flying Moth.

Whilst Skate, BMX, Mountain Boarding and Mountain Biking, and Parkour have added greatly to this huge extreme sports competition enabling top action not only on the water but now just as much on the land as well. 2008 will also see the introduction of MX and Flatland BMX!

Frisbee Freestyle and Speedminton displays have been added to the beach sports with ope volley ball competitions for the public. The live stage now has 50 groups, and two big evenings with headline acts.

White Air has built its reputation around top class competition combined with a friendly competitor and spectator atmosphere. The variety of live music day and night and the great parties on the weekend are all part of this unique event. The event now attracts some 500 competitors. The policy has always been that whatever the weather there will be action either on the land, on the water, or both!
