Shoreham is located on the South Coast between Worthing and Brighton, just off the main A27 coast road. The whole beach is sailable, but most people Windsurf from the Widewater car park (Kitesurfers launch further East). Turn off at the main roundabout and turn immediately right and follow the road to the car park.
Conditions here really depend on the wind, but a typical SW wind will produce nice jumping and small wave riding conditions ideal for the intermediate sailor. Shoreham suffers from the usual South Coast shorebreak from approximately 2 hours before and after high tide, so this is best avoided unless the sea is quite calm. At low tide there is no problem.
The sailing area can get pretty crowded, especially on high wind days during the summer, but there is plenty of beach to the East and West to avoid this. If you break anything then the ever helpful Surflädle shop is only 1/4 mile to the East.
