The site layout
Based right on the beach in the beautifull Bay of Sandown the site encompasses a unique set-up with a World Class watersports location, large expanse of sandy beach for the beach orientated sports, and a large grass and tarmac flat hardstanding area which creates the main village. The site also has the huge benefit of direct main road access with gently sloping hill to the east that leads directly into the site and is ideal for the public to try out the sports and get interactive within White Air each year. Sandown is also the largest tourism destination on the IOW. The IOW receives 3.5 million visitors each year.
Introduction
White Air Extreme sports festival
Into the 11th year and the biggest water, land, and beach based festival in the UK, and a leading festival in Europe. Events include World Championships, UK/International events, and open events for all to enter. There will be 70,000 total viewing with 35,000 spectators in the village site over the week. 500 competitors and a large number of sports are involved both on and off the water: Surfing, Windsurfing Freestyle, Windsurfing Racing, Kitesurfing, Kayak, Thundercat racing, Mountain Biking, Skate, Bmx, Parkour and Mountain Board with a new outdoor ‘live music’ stage. ‘Have a go’ interaction and introductory sessions are available for all spectators and families and include the sports of; Kitesurfing, Surfing, Windsurfing, Kayak, Thundercat, Skate, Mountain Board, Paragliding, Sailing, Parkour, Mountain Bike. 750 people tried sports in 2006 at WA. The festival has a very large press turnout and gains an extensive amount of media coverage PR Last year reached an audience of 60 million + extensive TV coverage on top. (9 TV shows to date) Fantastic images within a large amount of crossover sports. Highlights the natural and healthy outdoor sports.

Live Music Stage
As we move into the summer for the first time at White Air this year will see the introduction of the White Air outdoor live music stage. In conjunction with Platform One White Air will be putting on some 50 groups over 7 days on the superb outdoor stage right inthe heart of the festival.
Graffiti Art Village
White Air 2006 saw the hugely successful launch of Hard Grafft a graffiti art jam For 2007 White Air will be expanding and allowing all the public to 'have a go!', and will be adding 'Graffiti Jam' sessions to see the best art race against the clock. Includes all day displays and dance to the djs.
Parkour
Amazing action and daily displays from the Parkour 'Team Traceur', jams, open comp and 'have a go!'
Fancy a go?..Public open sessions will be in place every day with guidance from the pros' at White Air.
