High Diving
A new event for 2009, we've teamed up with the none other than the Royal Navy to present some awesome aerial acrobatics courtesy of some of the best high-divers in the business, including Olympic high-diver Blake Aldridge. These daredevils dive from a height of 90ft into a pool 3m deep... I don't even want to think about the physics of that! Just to make things that little more dangerous - because danger is good! - the display team will give demonstrations at night whilst set on fire. I suppose it's so they can see where they're landing...
The Royal Navy village will also include an absailing wall with 'have-a-go' sessions for the public, climbing wall, commando demonstrations, simulated beach landings and helicopter displays.
Competitors news:Juan Gutierrez confirms for White Air High Diving! Olympian and member of the Méxican Team, Juan was also No2 at LQHDP World High Diving Championships 2008. Other competeitors include Raul Bustamante Pro-High Diver & Stunt Hollywood Stunt Show performer, Jorge Ferzuli Pro-High Diver performing in the World Tour LQHDP, and Emma Rushed Diver and stunt woman and the only woman in the U.k. who sets herself on fire!
